About the Play:
Computer game programmer Norris joins beautiful toll collector Marigold, pet-cryonicist Angus, and singing widow Violet on a journey through life and death, fantasy and reality - and a road trip to Nackawic, New Brunswick, home of the world’s largest axe. When you keep holding on to what you’ve lost, can you ever really win?
Claire Robinson May:
Claire Robinson May is a playwright based in Cleveland, Ohio, with roots in New England and Nova Scotia. She was named Playwright in Residence for the inaugural Exceptional Inclusion Program at Talespinner Children’s Theatre (TCT) in 2019, working with a team of specialists to create a cycle of Aesop’s Fables plays for audiences with disabilities. Her work has been performed on the stages of TCT, Cleveland Public Theatre, Playwrights Local, and others. She served on the board of TCT from 2014-2019. Claire Robinson May is a licensed attorney in Ohio and teaches legal writing at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. She is a graduate of the Northeast Ohio Master of Fine Arts program in creative writing (NEOMFA) at Cleveland State University.
Join us for an evening of fun and funny theatre written for and by youth. You will travel to Mars and make a few other stops on the way.
Studio Theatre has been working with youth for over six years and has inspired creativity and promoted imagination while we've developed a number of amazing plays. It's time these plays got recognized as the ART they are!
Performances are scheduled for February 5 - 7 and will star some of our favorite local actors as well as some of our Studio Theatre Kids!
Tickets will be $5 each and seating will be limited as per Public Health Guidelines.
